WHO’S WHO & WHAT WE DO

 

FR IAIN YOUNG SSC, Parish Priest

 

BARBARA MARCHAM, Southwark Pastoral Auxiliary: Barbara is a Lay Chaplain at King’s College Hospital, working also in the Bereavement Counselling Department. She recently formed The Lavender Circle for lonely and vulnerable people in the parish.

 

 

Jean Tester & Ann Warwick are our Churchwardens.[Ann is also our PCC treasurer.] Barbara Marcham is our lay  Vice-chairperson.  Ruth Cansdale is our PCC secretary.

 

David Neil-Smith and Robert Hill are our Deanery Synod Representatives; Ursula Standring is our Electoral Roll Officer and  Dean Warwick, Pat Claugher, Luke Demetri, Gretchen Dickinson,  Esther Mercer, Gloria Harper, Joanitah Ssebunya, Yvonne White, Robin Farquhar-Thomson, Maureen Mazhary & Cheryl Harper are also members of our Parochial Church Council.

 

Pat Claugher is our Child Protection Representative. Our Lay Chaplain at Trinity Hospice is Lily Jacobs. Dean Warwick is our Deacon of honour and Luke Demetri is our Sub-deacon of honour. [Dean is also our Sacristan]

 

All enquiries regarding Baptisms, Banns of Marriage, Weddings and Funerals of Parishioners, should be made, in the first instance, to the Parish Priest.

 

The Blessed Sacrament is perpetually reserved for Adoration, Holy Communion and private prayer.  

  

Our Sunday Club and Crche run concurrently with High Mass on Sundays. Our Bumblebee Nursery meets on weekday mornings in the Undercroft.

  

The 16th Battersea Scout Group (beavers, cubs, scouts and sea scouts) meets throughout the week at the Scout Hall, Wickersley Road.

 

The Society of Our Lady of Walsingham (Cell of Our Lady, Help of Christians) meets monthly after Mass in church.

 

The Fairs and Social Committee organises an annual programme of exciting social and fund-raising events. If you have any suggestions, please speak to one of its members.

  

Our Children’s Society secretary is Ann Warwick. Those willing to take collection boxes or help with Christingles should seek her help.
