How to Find Us

 

The Ascension is located at the top of Lavender Hill, Battersea, between Acanthus Road and Pountney Road. It is within walking distance of Battersea Arts Centre.

By Train

 

Clapham Junction Station is 10 minutes walk away. When exiting the station do so via St John's Hill, turn left and proceed up Lavender Hill, passing Asda and The Battersea Arts Centre, the church is slightly further on the left.

Wandsworth Road Station is about 20 minutes walk away. When exiting the station turn left passing the Artesian Well Pub, Tesco and Perfect Smile Dentist, the church is slightly further on the right. Alternatively you can get the 87 bus towards Wandsworth or the 77 bus towards Tooting for 4 stops.

 

By Bus

 

Bus numbers 77, 87, 156, 345 and N87 all stop outside the church. numerous other buses stop at Clapham Junction which is just 10 minutes walk from the church. 

 

By Tube (and Bus)

 

Clapham Common Tube Station is just a 10 minute bus ride away from the church. The Ascension can be reached via the 345 bus towards South Kensington.

 

By Car

 

Street Parking is available around the church. Parking restrictions do apply (Monday - Saturday in most instances) but please check the signs before parking your car on the street.
